How to deal with HTC Legend Wifi Problem

Man, it was just a couple day after buying HTC Legend then I realize about this problem. The phone itself..whola, amazing icon smile How to deal with HTC Legend Wifi Problem i love it. I love android and I love HTC. The thing is if a phone without good wifi connection, seems so useless to me since I use wifi a lot. I try to browse the net to find out if anyone face similar problem with me and yes, seems many of legend users got the same problem. They say that the build of legend is a failure with antenna on the bottom-down of the phone.

Here are the things that I did to fix? well not fix it since I think this is a software problem not hardware, since if you notice In the first time try, the wifi connection is just fine, but after some time, it got auto disconnect frequently, and even if you standing next to your router, the phone will say that your wifi access point is out of range (LOL)..so let say to deal with it.

You can try this method, I did these and it helps me.

- go to Home >> Menu >> Setting >> Wireless & Networks >> Wifi Setting >> Menu >> Advanced >> Wifi sleep policy set to “never” or
download wifi lock from market (free)

-If you got disconnected, instead of trying to reconnect from your legend, restart your router/modem connection. this is usually bring a fresh connection to your legend and the phone should recognize your access point right away.

- If you are not the administrator of your wifi modem ( for instance you are on the coffee house or something ) you can try to connect to another wifi access point, and then later re connect to the original wifi access point.

I did these and it’s work for me, many people out there scream of how frustrating this problem could be without giving a damn of trying to make it work in the first place.
